My name is Rashid. I am from North Philadelphia and I am a street captain, member of the S.R.C. I have been in and of incarceration most of my life. I started getting arrested at 16 and ever since then I been behind bars every year, on Mother’s Day, my mom calls it the mother day curse. I recently came home for a 4-8 years upstate sentence and been doing my best to give back to the communities I took for granted. I am a devoted returning citizen dedicated to making a positive impact on peoples lives. I want to help the youth avoid going down the path I did when I was younger. My mission is the betterment of the community. I believe we at SRC is the perfect organization to help with that agenda. May our love keep us together and our community keep us strong. ​
